Zakopane. A conference on the practical and legal aspects of waste management took place from 25 to 28 September 2024, in Zakopane, Poland. It was organised by the Waste Management Department of the Polish Association of Sanitary Engineers and Technicians.

One of the speakers was Marek Klimek, Sales and Development Manager of Sutco Polska. He reported on the latest developments in the construction and modernisation of sorting systems for municipal waste. The focus was on the required recycling quotas, the new deposit system in Poland and the current discussion on extended producer responsibility (EPR).

At the same time as the conference, Marek Klimek published his article ‘The technological development status of Polish sorting plants for the recycling of municipal waste’ on the Sozosfera.pl portal.
